Our FLX S24 console by Zero88 may be the smallest desk in their FLX range but it still allows us to quickly and accurately control up to 48 individual fixtures over 512 DMX channels. The colour of fixtures can be altered using the built-in 7" multi-touch screen & image picker which is ideal for matching colours to a corporate logo for example, or via the encoder wheels or by selecting colours contained within a “mood” using Mood Boards and quickly record them straight onto any fader or one of the 48 instant-access colour palettes to recall later. Moving lights can be controlled using the multi-touch pan/tilt grid, the encoder wheels or with automatic effects like “Figure 8”, “Rainbow” and “Fly-In”. In total there are 49 Playbacks of 48 grouped fixtures with 4 x 48 palettes (Colour, BeamShape, Position, Effect) That's more than enough for most shows.
The DMX Master 3 by Stairville is ideal for the most basic of control with a built in effect generator. It can control up to 16 separate fixtures over 256 DMX channels plus a dedicated channel for a smoke or haze machine.
Despite it's simplicity, the DMX Master 3 is still a capable controller and able to generate some very smooth and effective effects and "looks".
This software based controller provides the ability to totally customise the user interface including manual or fully automated playback including syncronisation to audio and video content.
We use the D1024 interface which allows for output of two full analogue universes (1024 dmx channels) along with 3 artnet digital universes.
Everything that can be achieved with most hardware lighting consoles is also achievable within Sweetlight.
